Favor is a special honor from the Father. We do nothing to earn it, it just is. There are times it completely catches us off guard, but no matter how it happens we are eternally grateful. His favor has been on my life in so many awesome ways and I am truly honored to know Him as my Father. If you are wondering what I mean by the term "favor," It is when out of seemingly no where something great happens that you could never have fathomed.Maybe a bill was due and you had no clue where the money was coming from, and out of no-where the bill was paid. Maybe you have a car that has been in a death state for ages and God used someone to bless you with a vehicle. Yes, those moments that can leave you speechless, excited, shocked, so many different emotions, all because you never expected it. The book machine was one of those unexpected moments for me. I’m sharing a link to the community The Books Machine, a website where you can find good books to read from the comfort of your electronic devices. I have 3 beautiful nieces and 4 handsome nephews that I love dearly. My youngest neice, Shermia, is six years old and until recently was a 4.0 student at her school and in the top stream grade 2. Recently, we noticed that her grades had been slipping and she was complaining about headaches quite often. When she started to complain that she could not see the board at school, we took her to see an eye doctor who examined her. The prognosis was not good. According to the doctor, Shermia had lost her vision in her left eye, and there was some activity on the left side of her brain that they did not like. They prescribed some special glasses for her and referred her to Bascom eye institute in Miami Florida. My family and I believe in the power of prayer, and while we love and respect the medical profession, we know that there is a higher power available and we totally trust His ability to do the impossible at all times. Our church family, of which my brother Sheldon D Newton is our Pastor laid hands on Shermia and asked Our Father for her healing. We made plans to take her to Bascom, but for us it was for the confirmation that she was ok. We needed the doctors prognosis for our testimony. We left Nassau, on Sunday March 15, for the appointment on March 16, 2015 at 8:30am. Prior to our leaving, my sister told us how Shermia was on her knees in worship and crying at home during the song, "Hallelujah You have won the victory, Hallelujah, You have won it all for me...". We arrived at the doctor's on Monday morning and Shermia was put through a series of tests by the doctor. We, my sisters Tiffany and Sheniqua (Shermia's mother) sat there watching as Shermia went through each test with little or no effort at all. The doctor asked to see her glasses that had been prescribed and three words left his mouth, "Wow, Wow, Wow." He could not believe it. His words were, she does not even need these glasses, her sight is better than these. After this, Shermia was seen by 2 other doctors, the third doctor brought two others with her. They were all stunned. One of the doctors asked us if she asked for the glasses, I smiled because sometimes even the medical professionals are stunned. We said no, you have the report from home, but we believe in the miraculous. During the 2nd doctors visit, Shermia became so tired, that she started putting rhythm to the tests and memorizing the information, so they changed it up on her and she still mastered the testings. My sister Tiffany and I started celebrating and could not stop grinning. God is truly amazing. What blew us away, was Shermia who was still sitting in the chair started singing the song, When Jesus says yes nobody can say no!" can someone say praise party in the doctors office. :).We left Bascom at about 2:00pm. They were very efficient, thorough, professional and friendly. Truly exceptional service. Needless to say, Shermia was given a clean bill of health. She does not need surgery, Jesus performed it already, and she does not even need the glasses. When we got to the front office to sign her release papers, it was then that we noticed her mother was on the floor washed away in tears worshipping to the extent she could not even sign the papers. I had to sign them. I guess she had a delayed reaction. (LOL). Everyday, I am amazed at how great God is and how much He loves us. I am persuaded that my life would have been a total mess without Him and I am grateful that He is my life. I cannot imagine my life without Him. He is a wonderful Father who loves us so much. He continues to prove it so much each day, and for that I am eternally grateful. I just wanted to share this with you, in the hope that it uplifts you and blesses you so much. No matter what it is we are faced with, God cares, He cares so much and He is there with and for us each step of the way. I am continually praying for you and will do so as long as He lends me breath. You are never alone, He is always there for you, and so I am by His grace. Bless you

Wow! so much has been happening in the last few months. I believe that the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is now closer than it has ever been. The mandate for kingdom citizens, is that the message of the cross must be preached continuously and with a sense of urgency. Just recently, The Bahamas had what we call a national tragedy. A plane carrying Dr. Myles Munroe, his wife, Pastor Ruth Ann Munroe, their assistant pastor, Dr. Richard Pinder, their youth leaders, Pastor Lavard and Radel Parks and their young son, along with their 2 pilots and a visiting brother Diego Santiago crashed killing all on board as they were en-route to Dr. Munroe's leadership conference in Freeport Bahamas. The Bahamas was shaken to it's very core at this very tragic incident. Many are still in disbelief and indeed there is still a huge feeling of sadness in the air. Our heartfelt sympathies and prayers go out to all of the families of those who perished in that crash, and although we know that they have all gone on to be with the Lord, their deaths have left a huge void, not just in The Bahamas, but all over the world. The BFMI family will forever be in our prayers as they continue to carry out the vision that was started by their leaders. They have all left families and friends here and their legacies will continue to live on. Dr. Myles Munroe was a global leader, one who preached and lived integrity and stood for true holiness. He was never ashamed of the gospel of Christ and was bold enough to let anyone including government leaders know when they were wrong. He stood boldly against homosexuality and lesbianism, even when it seemed at times as if he was standing alone. A true warrior for Christ. His life and ministry has left a profound effect on my life. It was at the start of his ministry in the Mel Don plaza, where I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. My life has been changed ever since. I am reminded of the death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, when many years ago the enemy thought that he had won because of the death of Jesus Christ. He did not. He still has not won. Dr. Munroe has left an indelible impact on so many other lives who have taken up and will continue the vision he started for the glory of God. This giant of a man along with his team will never be forgotten and we have all in some way been impacted by their lives and their ministry. The Christian Scriptures implores us to hold fast the confidence we have in Him, (Jesus Christ).Hebrews 3:14. It is that confidence, that hope, that will keep us going and help us to remain steadfast to the end. As Chario (Myles Munroe Jr) has said, "I would like to make it known, that although we are all grieving our losses and are deeply saddened by this tragic event, we have never been, nor will we ever feel hopeless." We stand fast with our brothers and our sisters who have experienced this loss. We up-hold them in our prayers and we fight side by side with them in proclaiming the message of the Kingdom and in walking in obedience to the rules and laws set down by the King of the Kingdom. We honor the legacies of our leaders who have gone on to be with The Lord and we move forward in the Strength and Might of Jesus Christ; knowing that we are never alone; we never were. Dr. Myles Munroe & Pastor Ruth Ann Munroe Dr. Richard Pinder Pastors Lavard and Radel Parks their son Johanan and their unborn baby Diego Santiago Captain Stanley Thurston First Officer Frahkan Cooper REST IN PEACE YOUR LEGACIES AND MINISTRIES WILL LIVE ON.

Valderine Newton-Knowles, author of No Shame! Only Power shares her words of wisdom with us. Why I Write! I am Val Newton Knowles, a mother, a wife, and a sister among other things. At heart I am just a people loving person with a strong desire to help others be the best they can be. My book, “No Shame Only Power,” is the avenue where I get to do this on a world-wide stage. The book is filled with encouragement and motivation to remind us all that we are destined to win. My ideas for writing are fueled by my desire to be of service to others. The challenges of life come to all of us, and sometimes, they can knock us out. It is in these moments when we realize that those challenges did not conquer us, but rather we overcame them, that we have something to share. I am a novice as an author, having only written one book so far, but I wanted to share some of my successes. I did not want to be an author, I wanted to help, and I wanted to help on a wide scale. I wanted to give people hope and encouragement. I have found that we have been knocked down enough already; it was time for some people to start picking us up, and helping to re-build us. I wanted to be a part of that. So my ideas for writing are always about how it is going to help someone else, and be an encouragement to them. Finding things to write about is easy, I use my life experiences. I believe that our stories carry the power of mankind’s deliverance. Knowing that someone else has walked the same road gives us an empowerment that we too can. I don’t believe that everyone has to have an experience before they learn a lesson. Stories are made to be told and our love and care for each other should drive us to tell those stories. As a first time author, I learnt quickly to take control of my work. There are a lot of people ready and available to help, but we must be careful to not let them change our message. Know the message you want to get across to your audience, and stick to that message. Additionally, always write with love. As writers we hold the hearts of many and we must treat it as the treasure it is. Let your love for them shine through each time. Valderine Newton-Knowles http://www.valnewtonknowles.com/ I sincerely hope that this has helped you to understand a little bit more about me. My 2nd book, "Everyday Uplifting you," is now available on Amazon. I believe that the paperback version will make an awesome gift for any ocassion. I am from a very large but close family. I have about 17 aunts on my mothers side, and 2 on my fathers side. There are many Christians in my family, in fact, my brother Sheldon is my pastor. So yes, we are a strong family of believers. Three of my aunts, however, have had a huge spiritual impact on my life. One of them has gone on to be with the Lord. Recently one of them went through a series of challenges. She had several strokes, her husband went on to be with the Lord and her most recent, was falling in her yard which resulted in a broken hip needing emergency surgery. My mother, my sisters and I went to see her after her surgery, and she was her usual jubilant self, often encouraging those who came to see her. It was not long into the visit when we saw another side to my aunt, a side that we had never seen before, she had a moment where she became broken. I had seen my aunt cry before, but I had never seen her like this and it tore at me. We got her laughing again and started talking about what she needed, but there was an impression made in my heart, and I wanted to do something to help. My sisters made several great suggestions on what she needed, and I mentioned that she needed a daily calendar with inspirational words. I knew that was it, because she lit up and agreed with me. She had no idea that I would do it, but I began writing that very night. "Everyday Uplifting you," is the name of my new book, and it was presented to my aunt prior to it's release on Amazon. You cannot imagine the blessing that was to her. In fact I left because she began to cry so much, but these were tears of joy, gratitude and the realization that not only did she matter, but her life had been a blessing to so many people and that was now coming back to her through the words of this book. "Everyday Uplifting you," is filled with powerful truths to help jump-start your day with an "I can and I will," attitude. It was such a blessing to my aunt, that I wanted the masses to experience what my aunt felt that day. You matter and your existence means so much to so many. No matter what challenges you may face, you are never alone. The blessing that you have been to so many for so long, will flow back to you, the grace that you have poured out over the years, will flow back to you in abundance. Everyday Uplifting you, is designed to show you that we are all walking with you in the good and not so good times and we are continually encouraging you to go on. People are praying for you constantly and our heavenly Father is always with us. Always. I pray that as you read 'Everyday Uplifting you," that you will be propelled to levels of greatness, and that you will continually pay it forward by being a blessing to others. It is not designed to any specific year, which makes it the great gift that keeps on giving year after year. Blessings to you, now and always. with love Val

We are fast approaching the ending of the first quarter for 2014. Many of us have set goals for this year and should be on our way to fulfilling some of them. How are you coming with your goals? This is a great time to take a look at those goals and see where you are. Re-evaluate if you must, but please do not quit. It can be frustrating if it appears that things are not going as you planned, but stay consistent and keep pushing to achieve what you want. I don't know what your specific goals are, but I want you to know that there are times that we all want to quit. Please don't. I have learnt, that we have a built in power that propels us forward in the tough times. The Holy Spirit is an awesome partner and He works with us to accomplish our goals if we let Him. I took some time to start my year spending more time getting to know my Father better. For me, that involved 3:00am mornings and late nights, but I love every moment of it. Times of refreshing truly do come from the presence of the Lord. I'm learning to live from the inside out. All of the resources I need are within because that's where He dwells. You have been empowered to do some great things for the kingdom of God. If He has empowered you, He has the know how and will help you each step of the way. His Word is full of hope, but we must develop the discipline of reading it every day and spending time in fellowship with Him. Relationships are built on time spent together. His Word reveals the intense love He has for us. We must know His Word for ourselves. We must become students of the scriptures. The Word in the heart, will flow out of the mouth to produce success in every way, likewise, no Word in, no Word to flow out. It really boils down to what we want and how bad we want it. I want to know Him with every fiber of my being. I fall more and more in love with Him each day. Are you willing to make the sacrifice needed to get what you want. You should. You are the only one who can make it happen by partnering with Him to help you achieve. Let's keep growing and going. Remember, Together, we can.... and we will. Love you much. Stay God strong.
